Over the past two months, the ProtoQSAR team has taken part in a wide range of scientific events across Europe, sharing our expertise in computational toxicology and in silico safety assessment. From international congresses to specialised workshops, these events have been an opportunity to present our latest research, connect with the scientific community, and strengthen collaborations within European projects.

SPRINT-AIDD · June 7–10 · Bettona, Italy
Ágata Llobet, PhD student, presented the talk “Computational strategies within the AOP framework for predicting the effects of endocrine-disrupting compounds and their mixtures,” within the framework of the HYPIEND project, contributing to ongoing discussions on adverse outcome pathway (AOP) modelling for endocrine disruptors.
XXVI Congreso Español y X Iberoamericano de Toxicología (AETOX) · June 17–19 · Madrid
Our colleagues Enrique Llobet and Vicente Aranda represented ProtoQSAR at this leading Spanish and Ibero-American toxicology congress, where we took part as sponsors.
– Enrique presented the poster on the MoToMaMi project (INNTA3/2024/2) , part of his doctoral thesis funded by IVACE+i (Generalitat Valenciana) within the CheMatSustain project.
– Vicente gave the talk “Evaluación del efecto de diferentes condiciones experimentales sobre la toxicidad aguda acuática en peces,” featuring work from the iMPact project (INNEST/2025/568), also funded by IVACE+i.

Our PhD researcher Ágata Llobet presented in ESPA workshop “Computational strategies within the AOP framework for predicting the effects of endocrine-disrupting compounds and their mixtures,” within the framework of the HYPIEND project.
ESTIV2026 · June 29–July 2 · Maastricht, The Netherlands
Simón Perera and Rita Ortega represented ProtoQSAR at the annual congress of the European Society of Toxicology In Vitro (ESTIV). Rita co-chaired the Lunch Session connecting early-career researchers, representing the ASPIS Academy, and also co-chaired a scientific session dedicated to early-career researchers.
ASPIS Open Symposium · July 2–3 · Maastricht, The Netherlands
Simón Perera and Rita Ortega also attended the ASPIS Open Symposium. Rita gave a talk on the ASPIS Academy and presented two posters: one on the Academy itself and another on ECCS-DT, a new tool developed by ProtoQSAR.
X SEQT Summer School · July 1–3 · Alcobendas, Madrid
Organised by Sociedad Española de Química Terapéutica (SEQT) and Lilly España, our colleague David Talavera gave a flash presentation and presented the poster “Computational identification of novel antimicrobial molecules: The MERS-CoV case study.”
XII Symposium of Medicinal Chemistry Young Researchers (SEQT) · July 10 · Valencia
ProtoQSAR was represented by Eva Serrano, Rita Ortega, David Talavera, Ágata Llobet, and Marta Fons, alongside colleagues from our partner company MolDrug.
– David presented the oral communication “Computational identification of novel antimicrobial molecules: the MERS-CoV case study.”
– Ágata presented the poster “ProtoED: an in silico prediction tool for endocrine disruption for a safer molecular design.”
– Marta presented the poster “A computational strategy for mutagenicity assessment under the SSbD framework.”
