Today we bring you a new edition of “Meet the Team”

We are excited to introduce Simón Perera, our Business Development Manager (BDM).

Foto SimónSimón holds a degree in Biotechnology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a Master’s in Biological Anthropology from the University of Barcelona.

He has worked as a project manager and business developer at several companies, including Anaxomics and Bioinformatics Barcelona, and as a research support technician specializing in scientific communication at the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF).

As BDM, Simón oversees and executes the company’s commercial strategy. This involves identifying key markets, clients, and collaborators and managing contact with them to find common ground and establish mutually beneficial agreements.

What he enjoys most about his job is the interaction with potential collaborators, as it allows him to stay updated on the latest scientific developments in various fields (biomedicine, sustainability, drug development, among others). Another aspect he is passionate about is applying our knowledge and technology to address socially relevant issues.

On a personal note, Simón considers himself an avid reader and a music enthusiast. His recommendations are quite diverse, but if he had to highlight a few: “Leaves of Grass” by Walt Whitman as a book, “L’havanera tita” by Pep Gimeno (el Botifarra) as a song, and “Moulin Rouge” as his favorite movie.

In this entry, we’ve introduced another member of the ProtoQSAR team and their professional and personal contributions.

See you in the next edition of “Meet the Team,” where we’ll continue presenting the members that make up our team!
