ProtoQSAR has co-sponsored with ServiREACH the event “REACH and CLP regulations: novelties for 2017”. This monographic day has been organized by the Technological Institute of Plastics (AIMPLAS) and held at its facilities in the Technological Park of Valencia. Various relevant topics were discussed such as: the latest developments applied to the REACH and CLP Regulations (explained by Mrs. Elena Sánchez, of the REACH-CLP Spanish Information Portal); the verification of compliance with the REACH and CLP Regulations (with first-hand information by Mrs. Lidia Ferrer, of the Health Promotion and Protection Service of the Valencian Community); key aspects of the REACH Regulation in the plastics sector (presented by Mrs. Belén Monje, REACH specialist of AIMPLAS); and specialized software for the production of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and CLP labeling (Mr. Daniel Fenoll, ServiREACH).
Our collaborator Sergi Gómez made a presentation entitled “Application of QSAR techniques for the completion of REACH and CLP”. Sergi exposed the QSAR methodology to the attending public, its concrete applications to the REACH and CLP regulations, and several examples of QSAR models available in ProtoQSAR for immediate application to help companies affected by these regulations.
