The Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) finances the ProtoQSAR business plan
ProtoQSAR has been selected by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) to finance its business plan through the NEOTEC 2016 program. The objective of NEOTEC is to help to the start-up of new innovative companies that require the use of techniques or knowledge developed to from their research activity.
NEOTEC is an extraordinarily competitive program, in which not only the technological capacity of the companies is evaluated, but also other aspects such as the ability to exploit a market need, the management team and the financial plan. The project presented by ProtoQSAR “Implementation of QSAR models for compliance with the REACH Regulation (Proto-REACH)” was selected by CDTI as one of the best among the nearly 500 applications submitted.
This funding will contribute to the development of computer models that facilitate the prediction of (eco)toxicological values of chemical substances in the human being and the environment. These models will be subsequently implemented in a technological platform oriented to their application for regulatory purposes, and more specifically to the compliance with standards such as the REACH Regulation (European Commission (2006) Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006).
