II Public-Private Collaboration Workshop at I2SysBio
On September 2nd, we took part in the II Public-Private Collaboration Workshop organized by I2SysBio, focused on the new paradigms of computational biology. ProtoQSAR was represented by Eduardo Cubells Molina, while our affiliated company MolDrug participated through Martina Palomino-Schätzlein, who gave a talk on advanced computational modelling and omics analysis applied to health.

ProtoQSAR – MolDrug participated in the EUROPIN Summer School on Drug Design
From September 14th to 19th, ProtoQSAR – MolDrug took part in the EUROPIN Summer School on Drug Design, held in Vienna. The event brought together researchers and professionals in computational chemistry and drug discovery. Our Senior Researcher Laureano E. Carpio represented the team by presenting the poster “DPPPRED-IV: An ensembled QSAR-based web server for the prediction of Dipeptidyl Peptidase 4 inhibitors.”

ProtoQSAR at the 59th EUROTOX Congress in Athens
From September 14th to 17th, ProtoQSAR took part in the 59th EUROTOX Congress, held in Athens under the theme “Toxicology addressing society’s real-life risks for sustainable health and well-being”. The event gathered experts from across Europe to discuss the role of toxicology in promoting sustainable health. Our team was represented by Rafael Gozalbes Botella, Simón Perera del Rosario and Eduardo Cubells Molina.

Campus Gutenberg and the brain
On September 15th and 16th, the CosmoCaixa Science Museum in Barcelona hosted a new edition of the Campus Gutenberg, a leading event in science communication and culture. With the brain as this year’s central theme, the program featured debates, workshops, and collaborative sessions on how to better connect science with society. Representing ProtoQSAR – MolDrug, Ana Ambit Álvarez, Communication Manager, joined this community of professionals exploring the ways to communicate science.

ASPIS Open Symposium in Athens
On September 17th and 18th, ProtoQSAR took part in the ASPIS Open Symposium 2025, held in Athens. This annual event brought together ASPIS cluster members and the international scientific community to advance chemical safety assessment without animal testing. Representing the company, Simón Perera del Rosario, Business Development Manager, joined discussions on new methodologies, scientific collaboration, and the challenges of the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) approach.

SSbD: Driving Sustainability and Safety in the Textile Sector
On September 25th, ProtoQSAR took part in the professional workshop on the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) approach in the textile sector, held at AITEX facilities in Alcoy, Spain. Our Senior Researcher José Luis Vallés Pardo and Junior Researcher Marta Fons Page attended the event, where José Luis Vallés presented the European project SUBBIMATT (Sustainable, Biobased and Bio-Inspired Materials for Smart Technical Textiles), in which ProtoQSAR is an active partner.

BIOSPAIN 2025 in Barcelona
From September 24th to 26th, Barcelona hosted a new edition of BIOSPAIN, one of Europe’s leading biotechnology events. ProtoQSAR was represented by Rafael Gozalbes (CEO), Simón Perera del Rosario (Business Development Manager), who also moderated the session “LGBTQIA+ Meetup: Getting together to promote a diverse & inclusive biotech”, and Martina Palomino-Schätzlein (Senior Researcher & Head of Training). The event fostered supportive networks and discussions on diversity and inclusion within the biotechnology sector.

ProtoQSAR at BioComunica25: diversity and inclusion in One Health
The XI Congress of the Association of Biotechnology Communicators, ComunicaBiotec, held at the Institut d’Investigació Biomèdica de Girona (IDIBGI), took place under the theme “One Health: a single health.” ProtoQSAR took part with a talk by our Business Development Manager, Simón Perera del Rosario, entitled “Diversity in One Health,” which emphasized the importance of inclusion and diversity within this holistic approach to health.

Silver Sponsor at the 1st SENTIATECH Congress
On October 21st and 22nd, ProtoQSAR participated as a Silver Sponsor at the 1st SENTIATECH Congress, focused on the detection and control of emerging risks. The event brought together European experts to discuss safe and sustainable chemical innovation. Our team,José Luis Vallés Pardo, Enrique Llobet Serra and Marta Fons Page, presented talks and posters on (eco)toxicity evaluation, sustainable materials, and the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) approach.

ProtoQSAR at the Valencia Digital Summit 2025
On October 22nd and 23rd, ProtoQSAR took part in the 8th edition of the Valencia Digital Summit (VDS2025), held at the City of Arts and Sciences under the theme “Collaborate Today. Transform Tomorrow.” Our CEO, Rafael Gozalbes, joined the panel discussion “Today’s Startup, Tomorrow’s Industry: Stories Powered by CDTI” on October 23rd, sharing ProtoQSAR’s perspective on innovation and public–private collaboration in the tech ecosystem.

CHARPLAST 2025
On October 29th and 30th, ProtoQSAR took part in the 2nd International Seminar on Plastic Characterization (CHARPLAST 2025), organized by AIMPLAS, Technological Institute of Plastics in Valencia. Our Senior Researcher Rafael García Meseguer joined the event, focused on the latest advances in recyclability, advanced characterization, biodegradability, microplastics, and quality control across industries. Our PhD Student Enrique Llobet Serra also attended, strengthening ProtoQSAR’s involvement in this dialogue between academia and industry.
