Issue nº3

This third issue of our newsletter, the first of 2023, comes with the exciting news that we want to share with you all.

In this edition, we present our new hands-on course that will take place in Valencia, focused on machine learning methods for drug discovery and toxicology.  Moreover, we share different events in which we have participated related to three different EU projects: the kick-off meeting of BIO-SUSHY, an update meeting of VIDEC, and the Stakeholder network meeting of ONTOX.

In addition, we are proud to announce that in the past months, some of our researchers presented their work at international congresses and conferences. Their talks highlighted the cutting-edge research being conducted in our company and the role that our work is playing in advancing the field of chemoinformatics. Finally, we are excited to share with you the upcoming events that we will be attending, where we look forward to engaging with fellow researchers and industry professionals.

Learn QSAR modelling with us!

This course will help you to build your own QSAR models for bioactivity or toxicology (compound safety) prediction through the implementation of free Python scripts. You will learn to build QSAR models and implement the different steps of the general QSAR workflow.

The BIO-SUSHY project has started!

Recently, the EU-funded project Bio-Sushy celebrated its kick-off meeting in Mons, Belgium. Over the next 4 years, we will work to develop sustainable surface protection by glass-like hybrid and biomaterial coatings that replace widespread yet polluting PFAS.

VIDEC meeting in Valencia

We were honored to host the annual meeting of the EU-funded project VIDEC this January at our offices in Valencia. The event was a crucial gathering that brought together esteemed colleagues from the consortium worldwide to share project updates and plans for the future. Our team was thrilled to be part of the meeting’s organization and actively participated by presenting our findings and discussing the outcomes.

1st ONTOX Stakeholder network meeting

The ONTOX Stakeholder Network meetings aimed to map the barriers and drivers related to New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) and probabilistic risk assessment, address specific issues, and rank them according to their level of persistence and ease of solvability. The first meeting, which our BD manager Simón Perera attended, took place in Brussels on March 13th and 14th.
