In this edition, we’re excited to introduce Ana Ambit Álvarez, communication specialist at ProtoQSAR.
Her academic background
Ana Ambit Álvarez holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Valencia (UV). Although her academic background is rooted in experimental sciences, she has oriented her career toward science communication, specializing in Scientific and Social Communication through a Master’s degree from the International University of Valencia (VIU).
Her role at ProtoQSAR
Ana currently works as a Communication Specialist at ProtoQSAR. She manages the company’s social media strategy, coordinates internal communication, and oversees the communication and dissemination of the various projects the team is involved in.
What she enjoys most about her work
Ana loves the creative side of her work, but what truly motivates her is being involved in projects. She enjoys watching them evolve, understanding their structure, and communicating their progress. For her, connecting science with society is a meaningful and essential part of her role.
Her hobbies and recommendations
Ana Ambit has many hobbies for the little free time she has. She has played the violin since the age of eight and still enjoys it deeply. She also practices yoga, Pilates, and hiking, but her greatest passion is reading, a space where she disconnects and finds creative inspiration.
Some of her personal recommendations include:
- A song: “You Shook Me All Night Long” by AC/DC, perfect for recharging energy
- A movie: “Notting Hill”, a timeless classic
- A book: anything by Isabel Allende, especially “The House of the Spirits”, the “Jaguar and Eagle” trilogy, or “Violeta”
