Celebration of AIMPLAS’ 35th Anniversary

On July 10, we joined AIMPLAS, Instituto Tecnológico del Plástico, in celebrating its 35th anniversary, an event that highlighted its longstanding contribution to innovation in the plastics sector.
Our team was represented by José Luis Vallés Pardo (Senior Researcher), Ágata Llobet Mut (PhD student), and Eduardo Cubells Molina (Commercial and Internationalisation Technician), taking part in a networking day with other organisations from the scientific and technological fields.

 

35º aniversario de AIMPLAS

ProtoQSAR in the European SITOLUB Project

From July 10 to 11, Vienna hosted the review meeting of the European project SITOLUB, where the different partners, including ProtoQSAR, came together to share perspectives and discuss the progress made so far.

Our colleagues Rafael García Meseguer (Senior Researcher) and Vicente Aranda López (Junior Researcher) attended the meeting on behalf of ProtoQSAR.

MolDrug at the SEQT Summer School 2025

Our colleagues from our affiliated company MolDrug attended the SEQT Summer School, held in Bilbao from July 15 to 17.

Laureano E. Carpio (Senior Researcher) and Carmen Ortiz González (PhD student) took part in the event, presenting different posters on their research projects.

11th SEQT Young Researcher Symposium

On July 18, the 11th SEQT Young Researcher Symposium took place, where ProtoQSAR participated as one of the sponsors.

Representing our affiliated company MolDrug, Laureano E. Carpio (Senior Researcher) and Carmen Ortiz González (PhD student) attended the event. Carmen delivered a talk titled “Design and implementation of advanced chemoinformatics and molecular modeling techniques for the analysis of protein complexes with relevance in inflammation”.

In addition, our CSO Eva Serrano Candelas gave a presentation focused on her professional career in the pharmaceutical industry.

XI SEQT Young Researcher Symposium

OpenTox 2025

From July 21st to 25th, our senior researcher Martina Palomino-Schätzlein and our PhD student Enrique Llobet Serra participated as instructors in OpenTox 2025, a leading international event in computational toxicology and predictive modeling.

On July 21st, they taught the online course “QSAR models: from simple chemicals to advanced materials”, where they shared key insights into the development and application of QSAR models, from simple molecules to complex materials.

ProtoQSAR at WC13 Rio

From August 31st to September 4th, the WC13, World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Sciences, took place in Rio de Janeiro. This event is one of the leading international conferences focused on non-animal methods in science. Our Chief Scientific Officer, Eva Serrano Candelas, represented ProtoQSAR and presented two scientific posters.
